About TGP

The Grocery People Ltd. (TGP) is a full line food wholesale distribution company headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta.  Founded in 1960 as Alberta Grocers Wholesale, today TGP is a wholly owned subsidiary of Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) with home office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

 

TGP offers extensive product lines of grocery, dairy, frozen, tobacco, confectionary, fresh produce and meat.  As well non food and hardware products are available from the FCL hardware distribution facility in Calgary, Alberta.

 

TGP operates out of its own distribution center in Edmonton Alberta and FCL non food distribution centers in Calgary, Alberta, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Winnipeg, Manitoba.  Based on this extensive integrated logistics network, TGP has the capability to supply Independent Retail Grocers in Western Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon Territory and the Northwest Territory.
